Hi All,
As the title says, nearly 3 years for me. I don't remember the actual date, I have to work it out by when my first 'bits' were sent off, knowing they arrived and were ready for a road trip we took on a Wednesday (Aug. 5, 2015).
Started with those CE5 things and an assortment of liquid that was far from 'good' but sufficient. Slowly but surely 'upgraded' to now where it's all a bit of a de-facto hobby in some aspects, aside from the one doohickey that always works, a simple Pico/Melo III combo.
I don't think I've actually saved any money, as cigarettes are still pretty cheap here. ¥470 a pack of what I used to smoke last time I checked. About $6 a pack in Oz money.
I do know my sense of smell and taste is better than it was, although it was always fairly good even on the stinkies. The difference now is I can smell the stinkies, even the slightest hint of it. Picked up Mrs. Schtoo from a dinner the other night, and asked her if she'd been smoking as I could smell it sticking to her clothes. She wasn't, but she was 'quite' impressed I picked it up.
I've still never seen anyone actually vaping here in Japan, but a huge number of those heat stick things. Missed opportunity there I think, but that's what happens when the state run tobacco company dictates what's going to fly and what isn't. That said, vaping stuff isn't at all hard to get anymore, Amazon has heaps of it, much of it now sensibly priced as well.
And that's about it really. The future, I know not what that will be, other than I'll be a lot closer to there than I am to here in under 12 months.
Stu.

Awesome work mate, well done!
If we start the drum roll now, it'll be a helluva crescendo in three days time. 👍

Thanks all, but I can't say it's been something that was difficult to stick to or a struggle to stay off the coffin nails. Writing this only to give some 'volume' to those who might be wondering if becoming a vapist is something they should consider and that 3 years vaping is 3 years not smoking and that while I did find it easy to switch, it was by no means easy to simply 'stop smoking' in the face of a lot of pokes, prods and pushes that should have got me off them a long time ago. I didn't really have any intention of a vaperversary thing, but I felt compelled by you goldarned eanblers ( ) to do something about that, so... My missed 'sale' stuff is on it's way. A hefty box of liquids where the place that missed my sale items decided that maximum overkill was the best course of action to fix it. Some fresh nic arrived on Friday, just in time along with a particular a bottle of flavouring (one of several) in with it that seems to have seriously tickled my taste buds. And a Lost Vape Mirage. Stu.
