Well, it’s now the 1st of October, and I’ve had a big laugh at people’s theories about how this os going to be. We have the idiotic situation where a B&M vape shop is allowed, but nobody can offer ANY advice to a customer. I went to Vapoureyes store and checked this out. They had a big sale to raise some funds for advocacy, and from now on, I’m no longer able to order from their Australian store. So I will offer a few facts, based on the Q&A that was happening with the VE folk on Facebook, about how things work: 1. It’s illegal for a friend to post you vaping gear into SA. No doubt it may be possible to get around this by incorrectly labelling the parcel, but it will be the Sender who cops the fine (or whatever) if it gets found out. 2. Bizarrely, at the present moment, purchases from International vendors are OK, presumably because AusPost doesn’t have the resources/can’t be effed blocking International sales. 3. If you go to a B&M store you have to know what you want and ask for it - employees cannot offer any assistance - that’s so not going to work for new vapers. 4. Comments like “They’re working on it” are unwarranted - this government is loving wearing it’s bright new shiny badge of vape exterminator, none of which is being helped by the lies and rubbish coming out of the US at the moment. I see some people have been having some fun - well good on you, hopefully this situation will not occur in the State in which you live. Glad I don’t spend enough time on here anymore to have to deal with that crap. Cheers. Well I was well and truly caught with my pants down on this one. This morning I sat down and typed in an order for liquids (only) from my long-term interstate vendor only to discover - at the end - that they no longer post to SA. I didn't realise the regulations went that far. That being said, I'd question whether its enforceable (Restraint of Trade provisions in Australian law) but I can understand the vendor's position. I had a look at VE on the Facebook thingy but couldn't find the thread you mentioned in your post. I'm not very good with this social media business (too old), so I was probably looking in the wrong place. I suppose, on the bright side, I can vape unflavoured for a while as I still have plenty of nic and PG. How long though, I ask, before the Feds come at us for personal direct importing?

Jocky Vapour eyes, wick & wire co , mixology & a number of other Aussie Vapes stores now have branches in NZ and are continuing to ship into SA at this stage. Hope that helps. People say they get their vape mail pretty quickly.

People say they get their vape mail pretty quickly. VE are only a 10/15 min drive away but their prices for liquid are (sadly) eye-watering compared to my current/previous NSW vendor. I guess I'll have to sit down with a bunch of concentrates, a bottle (each) of VG/PG and engage in a bit of alchemy to try and hit my sweet spot. In the meantime, I'll visit VE for some 'bridging' supplies. For my longer-term hardware bits, I'll have to plan carefully and unavoidably order from China (y'now, the one beginning with an 'F') as VE don't stock the coils I use (Protank IIs - I'm a bit last century). I get my nic from MFS in the States but I've only got about 8 years supply left in the freezer;) How batshit crazy are these laws though? I can drive down to VE and pick up what I need, but they can't post or courier a package to me in the other direction. Legislation doesn't come much more badly framed than this SA dross.

Rebuild the Protank coils, i use them in my Tatroes and Evod -Protanks, they are a snack to rebuild and work out at less than 5c a coil.

Thanks Mallee, might give that a try. At a couple of bucks for a 50-pack there's not much to lose, is there? Hope these old eyes of mine are up to it. Do you wick them up with cotton or silica?

I just use organic cotton, if your going to use the fastech prewound coils get the NR-R-NR ones as they dont burn the bottom insulators as much.
