For such a long time I really struggled even with what would be considered "High" nic and the first few years of my vaping was 36mg and even dual using at times ... finally I grabbed my bollocks and went 24mg and NO dual use ... stayed there a few years and life was fine
Then slowly I thought " OK I dont feel AS addicted as before .. wonder if I can go down ?"
Turns out I could .. and all the way down to 1mg!!!
However I did notice that going down always had a period of higher Mils consumed ... then that would plateau and decrease a bit ...
So technically my vaping journey has been from say 8ml a day of 36mg ( 288 mg consumed) down to 16 ml of 1mg ( 16mg Consumed daily)
So in reality thats a SHEDLOAD of nic saved .... and my higher consumption of volume now is more down to "cos I can" vaping rather than " I have to " vaping ... I can go hours without a vape in some situations , but being mainly at home all day doing my own thing , the vape is always ... there lol
Strangely enough vaping 0ml does absolutely nothing for me and feels like I am breathing steam .. I vape unflavoured .. so the urge to go 0 mg is not so great ... I think IF I ran out of nic I would just ... not vape .... that would take a bit of an effort as I still love the hand to mouth distraction
And just to show how its very personal...and no two people are alike, and theres no right/wrong or pattern to follow
I vaped starting at 18mg for, then went to 16, then 12, then 10, then back to 12...all over the first 8 months back in 2015 when i started
Then i slowly started to decrease the strength over the next 3 years until i hit 1mg
Then one day about 2.5 years ago i woke up one day 2 weeks before my birthday and said to myself i wonder if i can totally quit, and had my 1st birthday since i was 11 (35 and a bit years of smoking) nicotine free. Havent had nicotine in my body since.
Then i gave pretty much all my vape gear away, bar one setup, in case
These days i only vape straight VG and a bit of distilled water, when im out of home, the hand to mouth thing and the sensation still helps alleviate my world class anxiety. I still count it as a win.
