My major consideration in the whole PG/VG debate was simply the biology of the two in practical use PG doesnt really support bacterial contamination whilst VG can ... very early on in my vaping path I actually had a bottle of VG go "Off" even tho it was refrigerated ( in fridge not freezer) where it "grew" lovely black threads of "something" that I predicted was probably not very good for me ... So I have always brought VG in smaller quantities for quicker turn over than my PG ... Of course BOTH substances should be USP grade and free from contaminants when you buy them , but opening them up allows your local air in which WILL contain bacteria/yeasts/etc to come in contact with the liquid ... I will point out this was wayyy back in the day when you could get premix nicotine off locals and it was in the "bathtub" juice mixy days so god knows what it had been exposed to
I always buy my nic in PG simply because if it was to get lost via contamination it is the least likely scenario and you can always get straight VG locally if something goes wrong wth it and you arent chucking out nic with it ... Plus I have always had not so great VG arrive , but the PG has been pretty constant in qualty/taste over the years ...
Well luckily i got 100mg Flavourless Nicotine 125ml / 100mg / 100% PG as thats all they sell it in.
So should i store it in fridge or frezzer ?
Freezer & normally I would say decant into small brown glass pharmaceutical bottles but its such a small amount it prob doesn't matter.
These days I have switched to 50ml brown glass bottles and then seal the caps further with electrical tape - then I wrap them in brown paper & then put in plastic bags but we are talking Vapergeddon now..........

Hi, newby here. I cant vape pg in high %'s. All my nic is 100mg in VG base. I bought 5 200ml bottles about 5years ago and poured them all into 30 and 50ml glass bottles. I keep one 30 or 50ml bottle in the fridge, I use it to mix 100ml batches. 100ml lasts 24 to 30days, which means a 30ml bottle of 100mg nic base will be bought to room temp about 10 times. I have never noticed any extra peppery taste or strangeness to the taste except last summer when I left it on the bench for 3days while I was away. I thought the extra peppery taste was an improvement tbh. I m tempted to leave one 30ml bottle out just so I can get a good peppery brew going. I dont like or enjoy sweet flavoured juice. Anyway, its all still good after 5yrs. I cant see why it shouldnt still be good in another 5yrs.
Cool little forum btw. Makes a nice break from visiting forums where all the US members are triggered AF.
