Has anyone allergies to certain flavors? I have them with certain flavors that seem to contain caramel like TFA RY4 Double, TFA RY4 Type, FA RY4 and few others I can't remember now.
I looked up their spec sheet but couldn't really make head or tail out of what could give me allergies. I'd be vaping it for 10 minutes, than it's starts getting harsher and harsher till my mouth starts to have burning feeling and it can last for couple of hours at least. It's not the percentage, this happens even at 0.5%. It's bizarre.
I should mention that I do get a lot of allergies, often also from food like Frankfurts in particular. Those cheap sausages are probably filled some nasty chemicals.
Sulfide? I looked it up and it can indeed cause irritation when inhaled. Sounds like it could be the problem. You're a genius, I've been trying to figure it out for years. I've never come across Sulfide as an ingredient in e-cig flavoring but who know what name it actually goes under. The FA Specs sheets site is down so I can't go and take another look right now. And yeah those Frankfurts, one is enough to send me haywire. But no problem with salamis, maybe better ingredients, not sure.
Dried apricots will soon see if you are allergic to sulphites as well ... very cheap preservative and they are lathered in the stuff ... have to always be on the watch out for it in "natural " dried fruits ,as it isnt good for Parrots either ...
edit also in crappier wines ... they are what gives you the killer hangover from a tacky red !
Don't know about dried apricots, haven't had them for years but remember drinking cheap wine from box years ego and the hangover was truly deadly.
The FA specssheet is on line again. Here's whats in RY4 Double
Ethyl Maltol 4940-11-8 -ol group >= 10% and < 50% sweet, burnt cotton sugar candy like, with jammy, strawberry notes Cyclotene 765-70-8 terpene >=5% and <10% sweet, maple, bready, caramellic with nutty nuances Propylene Glycol 57-55-6 diol >= 75% and <= 83% no taste Vanillin 121-33-5 aldehyde >= 0.5% and <= 1.5% vanilla, vanillin, sweet, creamy, spicy, phenolic and milky Water 7732-18-5 n/a 1-3%
Vanillin is spicy, maybe that's the culprit. But I'm vaping custard and no problems, although I can feel similar sensation, it doesn't leave burning mouth.
Cyclotene is a Diketone. I steer clear of them, they can leave an awful aftertaste. Some places say their juices are "Diketone free" so that tells you that others have had problems with it too. If we get anything out of the legalisation and regulation of vaping I want to see ingredients lists on every bottle for people with sensitivities to various things, the same as is required on foods and body products.
I think they'd have to lassify it as a onsumable for the ingredients label. They don't say what hemials are in Tobao either.
If they did they would have supply smoke paks with a toilet roll style list to fit all the hemial names on.
They can just make a requirement for it regardless. Soulblu bottles have a QR code on them so you can get the ingredients list. That's how I found that one of their flavoured nic juices had a diketone in it which was causing me a problem.
