Thanks rockmoose. I guess I'll find out since I already bought the mints. I'll report back here if I somehow succeed where others weren't so successful.

It's illegal to SELL or SUPPLY within Australia. It's not illegal to have it in your possession though, so if you happen to get some from overseas it's all good. It IS tobacco however, so subject to tobacco excise of $990 per kg on entry.
It's all bureaucratic double speak of course, and immoral for a harm reduction alternative to be subjected to an extortionate sin tax. George Orwell really would have recognised this situation. The brainwashing that occurred regarding Snus and snuff happened in the 1990's, when tobacco control managed to get it banned due to the presence of nitrosamines in snuff and the "risk" of mouth cancers etc. They conveniently forgot to mention that snuff probably has at least five times less risk of cancer overall than smoking cigarettes and zero risk to lungs and heart, and Snus is about as harmful as NRT which was already available at that time. Snus got conflated with snuff on the basis that "we don't know" and the fact that it was made from tobacco. They managed to manipulate politicians into banning all these forms of non-combustible tobacco, and the general public into not kicking up a fuss with their screwed up representation of risk.
From my recollection, snuff got impossible to get around 1996, because at that time I was considering using it at least part of the time to reduce my smoking. My Uncle Pete was with me on a 4WD trip at the time and he was also interested, and tried to buy some with no success (he was told to come back next week, when the tobacconist might have "something" then, but of course we were travelling). Twenty years later Pete is dead from lung cancer, and I continued to smoke for another 17 years before finding vaping.
I mark this as the time when tobacco control truly went off the rails and started to do some serious harm to public health. They could have done so much by promoting harm reduction and telling the truth.
Sorry for the political rant outside of the political threads but I don't think we should ever forget (or forgive) what was done, because they have and are doing the same things to vaping and it holds some important lessons.

Well, I covered the surface of 4× XXX mints last night. Each with 0.1ml solution containing 5mg in 0 PG/25 VG/75 H 20. I've had one an hour ago and haven't vaped since. The mint on the left is untreated and for comparison.

What is arranged off board in private , I have no control over nor no need to know about And like you say , as long as the tax was paid on the Snus when imported ... its legal to possess for private use Supply would be a different matter , but like I said we are adults and whatever you arrange in private is not a concern. ( I would take an entirely different stance if this was a sale, mind ) Public would be a whole different matter entirely *https://www.productsafety.gov.au/products/health-lifestyle/personal/tobacco-related-products/smokeless-tobacco-products SO if you want me to actually answer ... no... ( forum safeguarded ) but I am sure you can figure out your own morality on the issue in private I was just reading this thread because I thought it might be where I read something about using XXX mints as the medium for the nic, but I'm still at a loss. If anyone has any suggestions in that regard, I'm all ears. The reason I'm quoting this post in particular Fatman , is because I'm curious as to how sharing snus/snuff, which has had the tax paid on it, with friends via post is any different to mates scabbing/sharing smokes at the pub, legally speaking?
Like I intimated ... what is between mates, and not publicly published on a board we own ( and can be liable for) I dont give a crap about buts as RM/Fab points out when you import snuff/snus , it is under the banner of PERSONAL import legally
"* Smokeless tobacco products are banned from sale in Australia but may be imported for personal use (i.e. not for the purpose of supply) in an amount weighing not more than 1.5 kilograms."
Its that little "Supply " Clause that makes it different to cigarettes ( although technically if you say gave your ciggies to a 15 year old you could still get pinged for "supplying" them ... hence why retailers dont sell them to kids even IF they have a note from their mum these days )
So technically even giving the (legally imported and tax paid) stuff away contravenes the circumstance of importation ... I don't care what you do with what you have, but "technically " its an illegal act .
Now I reckon you have a snowballs chance in hell of getting done for it , but if you do and its publicly arranged here and it goes to court etc ... then WE are possibly held accountable for it ... all because WE gave you a forum
DO I think it will happen ... probably not Could it happen? ... well yes, yes it could ... precedence has been set in Australia ( not with snus/snuff, but with Australian Forum owners being held responsible for activities/defamation etc on their forums)

Dare I ask how a government charges 'you' tax on an illegal item? Prolly not. Carry on. The item isnt illegal for PERSONAL use , you are granted dispensation to import a quantity ( and pay tax on it ) provided it is for personal consumption ....

They have a MD sale atm but WTA base doesn't seem to be included? I already have a recipe in mind for when I finally get my hands on some too.
