or perhaps simply taste it ! like.. I wonder if the alcohol in the JF super concentrates is at a similar level ? and it dissipates with a little breathing time..  Edit: I just remembered reading about how someone was using vodka to thin high VG juice and how it also produced a lovely vape.. now vodka is what % alcohol... 40%.. so I wonder if small percentages of the vanilla essence in a mix even is a problem ? Wiser people may know ! |

Fair point you two. It's been breathing for near a week so, away we go. Strewth, I didn't equate the alc in other concentrates, just flying a little blind. I reckon you are on the money GT. I'll add 15 ml of pg to it and tweek it from there. The alcohol will clear the passages I suppose.

I made up 5 ml in 20 of PG. I don't partake in grog so was a bit concerned. (And yes folks, that is what's wrong with me!) |

Shopping list....Battery for the smoke alarm. I am going to give patience a go, first attempt at it so, I may put patience ahead of the battery. What I would do if I was concerned about the alcohol (and I'm not) is, add 20ml-ish of PG to the 50ml of extract, shake and leave for several days. Then heat the bottled mix up in a saucepan of water (lid off, or at least on loosely to let the evaporated ethanol escape), heated to 75°C. No naked flames  Yes, that would be my advice too. Flambe only burns the alcohol that's already evaporated, it doesn't speed up the evaporation, or not by much anyway. Chefs do it because it looks flashy, though it's supposed to add to the flavour (debatable IMO but maybe it traps some byproducts of combustion in the food). |
